pt.5 The Shift -- from thecall to the Send -YWAM’s involvement

We are told the shift from theCall ministry to theSend has been seven years in the making. In 2011, YWAM's Andy Byrd and other members of YWAM (Engle's inner circle) gathered in Engle's Kansas City living room speaking of a shift into a new ministry. Now Engle believes all that prayer has led to altering his ministry from gathering people to intercede through “TheCall” to launch a new type of stadium event. The focus will now be to release people to go outside the church into all the world as this new breed evangelizes a worldwide harvest.

For the last 20 years, God has used TheCall to gather hundreds of thousands in a John the Baptist type movement to fast and pray in preparation for a 3rd great awakening. I am now convinced that TheCall must come to a glorious end.” https://www.thecallannouncement.com/

Engle's grandiose conclusions are seen in the many things he says. John the baptist fasting, praying which he believes results in the 3 rd great awakening.

I’m including this information on YWAM because they were the catalyst for Lou Engle’s new ministry “theSend.” Which had the Call go from bad to worse as Engle targets the youth with Latter Rain influences.

Andy Byrd, is from the leadership for the YWAM University of the Nations and YWAM Kona. Before we look at the event that Byrd had with Engle we need to see what YWAM is introducing to the youth?

This YWAM audio promotional states, we take up "The Invitation" and join together with thousands of YWAMers from around the world as we pray and hear from God about Contemplative Prayer .” (https://ywam.org/blog/2018/06/11/contemplative-prayer/)

Though it may sound biblical, contemplative prayer is not from the Bible . Their promotion on contemplative prayer:

“In this edition of The Invitation, we invite you to consider what we can learn from the contemplative tradition of the global Church, and why contemplative practices might be a helpful balance to our busy, activity-oriented lives.”

Steve Cochrane, a leader in YWAM works with the University of the Nations, he is the author of the 2017 book, “ Many Monks Across the Sea: Church of the East Monastic Mission in Ninth-Century Asia . “ He spoke of his own journey into contemplative practices. " In the past decade, I've been on a more focused pilgrimage to listen to what Spirit is saying from a diversity of those that have walked the road before in deeper devotion to Christ ." He further stated, the work of "friends from the past" teaches us to sink down into the presence of God in the midst of our active lives . (ibid.)

One of the books Cochrane mentions in his bibliography is by Merton which contains Sufism. In his book “A Time of Departing,” Ray Yungen describes a story from Merton and Sufism where Thomas Merton is talking to a Sufi teacher (is an Islamic mystic) about Merton's desire for unity between Christians and Muslims.

What you will notice are words describing the prayers that are not Bible descriptions or practices like sink down into the presence of God.

The YWAM audio continues: “ Over recent years, a significant number of us in the YWAM family have, like Steve, been growing more familiar with contemplative practices. . . . Since around the third century the people of God have been engaging in practices that we now call Contemplative . . . A few of these contemplative practices involve: breath prayers, which consist of praying a short phrase with your in- and your out-breath; lectio devina [divina], which is a meditative way of reading short passages of scripture; and silent prayer such as Centering Prayer . (ibid.)

Apparently YWAM would like to see everyone now involved in the practice of contemplative prayer:

“If you only have a few moments to pray, ask the Lord to convict each of our students and workers to experience God in deeper ways through contemplative methods .” https://www.ywam.org/blog/2018/06/11/contemplative-prayer/

Believers rely on the Word of God and the Holy Spirit as our teacher who will lead us into truth, He does not teach us to repeat a word or phrase or focus on the breath to be led to God. Now imagination, along with mental imaging (called visualization) are also used “ inhale and exhale while you hold your Wordless Prayer in your imagination.” God does not lead us, nor approve of being helped from teachings that lead people AWAY from the Word itself. But this method has now become part of YWAM. They recommend books by Ruth Haley Barton, especially her book titled Sacred Rhythms: Arranging Our Lives for Spiritual Transformation .

YWAM’s promotion of this unbiblical practice in prayer is not surprising since they have a loose view of teaching from the word. Consider what they say for The prayer day is called The Invitation. Said Darlene Cunningham, one of YWAM’s founders, “God is inviting us into His presence to help carry and nurture His dreams.” ( https://ywam.org/theinvitation/ )

Let me point out again that God does not have dreams, especially to be nurtured. This introduces a whole different way to relate to and do the will of God. This word dream that is being attached to God needs to be abandoned. We are to do His will, and it is written for us to know.

YWAM has been consistently gravitating toward the new apostles and prophets ways. the NAR’s way of “warfare prayer,” practices can be seen on the websites of YWAM Salem and YWAM Harbour City.

Partnering and participation with the NAR is YWAM, The Call, Circuit Riders, Christ For All Nations, Jesus Image and Dunamis Movement.

For year’s YWAM leader’s promoted the openness of other cultures gods being the God (of Israel). They used the Daniel Kikawa’s false method of evangelism of telling others that their individual cultures god had a son, making their god as the same as Israel’s God. Which diminishes Israel’s importance and exalts other cultures. This is ecumenism (even interfaith) at its worse.

It becomes increasingly clear YWAM does not engage in discernment, we can see this by the things they accept and practice. Yet discernment is the only practice that will keep you from being deceived, as Jesus warned over and over what the last days would be like. And to discern one must learn to divide truth from error (Phili.1:9) to do that one must grow to be mature in the word. This lack will become very clear as we progress and look at what took place at Engle’s Send conference.

I was concerned years ago when Joy Dawson stood on stage with Benny Hinn in agreement of cooperation, and then Hinn was asked by Loren Cunningham to come to their base on the Big Isle in Hawaii right after. This becomes far worse with Engle’s first event. (see http://www.letusreason.org/Curren29.htm )

The Revelation of Billy Graham’s mantle

This becomes vital information for your safety and others. We must know the truth to survive the errors of the Latter Rain movement of today.

On Feb. 12, 2018, Engle says he was reading 2 Kings 2 when Elisha refused to let Elijah leave until the younger prophet received the double portion of anointing. Engle was prompted to pray the same thing about Billy Graham's evangelism anointing. This is apparently after his meeting with Byrd and the others.

“On February 12th, while fasting 30 days on the island of Hawaii, I was suddenly apprehended by the scripture where Elijah passed his mantle at the Jordan River to his spiritual son and double-portion inheritor Elisha.

I realized I was in an Elijah-Elisha moment myself and that for the next stage of breakthrough in America I needed to focus my whole being into double portion sons and daughters. I felt that I could not move forward, unless like Elijah to Elisha and John to Jesus, I myself passed my spiritual mantle on to those who could carry it further than I ever could.” https://www.thecallannouncement.com/

Elisha was a prophet trained by another prophet of Israel, Engle takes a grand canyon jump in this application assigned to himself. Elijah was taken away, he didn’t pass a spiritual mantle to Elisha.

Pass the anointing, Double portion, spiritual mantles? This is what Engle focuses on. See if you find such a descriptions like these in the New Testament? You will not. This is Latter Rain speech. And Engle abuses these terms taking them out of their Bible context. This prayer movement will divide the body of Christ; those who will receive this so called “double portion” Engle speaks of, and those who will not.

As he read the words 2 Kings 2, (Feb.12) he says the Holy Spirit gripped him and he wrote in big letters in his Bible, " BILLY GRAHAM, I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU UNTIL I GET A DOUBLE PORTION OF YOUR SPIRIT ON THE NEXT GENERATION !"

Engle felt God brought him into a prophetic moment, as Billy Graham was about ready to pass (Billy Graham died February 21, 2018). He sensed that the body of Christ was heading to a Jordan crossing, and it would release a double-portion Elisha movement of signs and wonders as sons and daughters would rise up and carry the mantle of Billy Graham. (even though Graham did not have signs and wonders in his ministry).

The body of Christ is not heading to the Jordan. People are being led by the Holy Spirit all over the world doing different things. To say the body of Christ is all going in this one direction i.e. crossing to the Jordan is ludicrous.

As with everything interpreted by those in the Latter Rain, God has a new elite group to be anointed unlike any other, only this time he included Billy Graham into being part of his new direction in ministry. If you recall the Bible, Elijah said it was not his to give. Elisha was Elijah’s protégé, who was with him for many years. We need to understand this is the only place this double portion is spoken of. There are no (spiritual) mantles passed on to individuals, or to groups, certainly not by Jesus nor the apostles. But Latter Rain adherents do not let these Biblical obstacles stop their plans. They will go anywhere in the Bible to make their connection.

Engle distorts the words of scripture attaching them to his mission. Nine days after Billy Graham died, Engle knew it was time for The Send to come to fruition.

Recalling “In 2011 a major revelatory shift took place. Into my living room walked these YWAM wild men, and they began to prophesy, there’s a coming shift to The Call. And it will not just be fasting and praying, but the proclamation of the gospel, signs and wonders and stadiums will be filled. And Billy Graham’s mantle is coming on the nation. And then they said, The Call is gonna lead to The Send. And it struck me–maybe The Call is a forerunner for a new Jesus Movement coming. Or, maybe it is the forerunner to something…else .” (youtube video)

That is lot of changes, especially calling this a new Jesus movement. The forerunner to “Something else” would be more accurate.

The group prayed for two days until the YWAM prophet (Andy Byrd) came with a message for Engle. "He said, 'Tell him I had a visitation last night and it had to do with God speaking to me saying that there's coming a shift to TheCall, and it will be stadiums and fasting and prayer, and Billy Graham's mantle is coming upon TheCall .'

" And I was shaken. I knew it was the Lord, that there was some shift coming and it had to do with as the brothers spoke in my living room, it was that TheCall would give birth to The Send ," Engle says.

The group felt the Lord tell them, "There's coming a shift to TheCall, and there will not be just fasting and prayer, but the proclamation of the gospel, signs and wonders and stadiums will refilled, and Billy Graham's mantle is coming on the nation," Engle says.

This story is 7 years prior claiming a prophecy of Billy Grahams’ mantle. How does Engle reconcile this story with learning of Billy Graham’s mantle in 2018 in Hawaii?

"We believe that [Graham's] mantle is hovering, waiting for thousands to lay hold of it," Engle tells Shawn Bolz for an upcoming issue of Charisma . https://www.charismanews.com/us/73691-lou-engle-ends-thecall

Which is the mantle coming upon, the Call, thousands, the next generation or the nation, seems there are so many contradictory statements that this can’t be from God, especially since there are no mantles to be given, mantles are not the anointing nor ministry.

How can Billy Graham's mantle come upon TheCall if that is ended? Then what Byrd said is inaccurate.

Are all the people are to get the double portion of Billy Graham's mantle? Billy Graham just didn't just evangelize in America, but globally. Apparently all the people are going to be greater than Billy Graham who was going all over the world speaking before thousands. Every single one of them would have to be speaking all over the world to people for years to come.

The same circles hear this prophecy This prophecy actually originated from Benny Hinn on TBN in 2012 After Mark Chironna gave his false prophecy, Benny Hinn who immediately said “ The sign will be Billy Graham’s death.” … The Lord said to me in ’89… when Oral Roberts and Billy Graham go home will be the key—it will be the sign—of the beginning of the greatest revival on earth. Oral is home. Billy is about to go home . And when he does, I am telling the whole church, get ready .” http://www.letusreason.org/b.hinn34.htm

Hinn is referring to December 31, 1989 at Orlando Christian Center. However Billy Graham was not about to go home, it was 29 years later. Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-1ztEiBTXtE# !

Why is it that when Billy Graham dies the greatest revival on earth occurs? Why would God wait for an evangelist to die for a revival? Apparently Engle’s answer is to give his mantle, which is completely fails any biblical veracity.

Hinn also prophesied of Oral Roberts and Billy Graham: both giants die, which will be in the mid-90’s, I will shake this world with a last revival. Their death will be the closing pages of this move .”

To anticipate a World wide revival from ones death certainly shows what spirit is operating here.

Engle’s associations and friendships has numerous false teachers of the worst kind. Along with Paul Cain, Engle says: " I remember spending time with a well-known prophet, Bob Jones, several years before he passed. We were talking about evangelism, and he told me, "When Billy Graham dies, the mantle that was on his life will cover a generation of evangelists and will bring forth a worldwide revival .”

Same said by Benny Hinn. Actually this all began from Benny Hinn, the originator of this false prophecy, and it is just plain nonsense. Hinn's invented prophecy of Graham may have certainly helped get him a slot at the first Send conference with Rodney Browne. After all he introduce Browne the laughing bartender to the church in America.

Mantle

Nowhere does the Bible speak of mantles on anyone, not even the apostles in the New Testament. Not that this would stop Engle from distorting the Scripture for his goal and apply an Old Testament concept that is no longer functioning. William Branham did the same for the Angel of the Lord visiting him, one can expect the repeated errors as the double portion of this newer Latter Rain movement develops.

Engle’s claim to the churches across America is that “mantle” of Billy Graham is to fall on him and those who are willing to follow his message. Billy Graham was not dead yet and Engle was presenting himself as the successor to Graham approved by the Holy Spirit.

"We believe that [Graham's] mantle is hovering, waiting for thousands to lay hold of it," Engle tells Shawn Bolz for an upcoming issue of Charisma . "It is a mantle that is a burden for evangelism—for a new era of Jesus the Evangelist—to manifest a new Jesus People movement harvest to take place. I believe The Send will be a flashpoint for the fulfillment of that word. I so believe in this shift that I have ended TheCall ."

His mantle is hovering? Maybe that’s the light people are seeing in the sky.

Engle writes “... 7 months ago @billGraham passed away. I believe his mantle, the mantle of Jesus the evangelist, is hovering for the Elisha’s, the double portion sons to pull it down and strike the grounds. On february 23, we go to the Citrus bowl for #TheSend get the mantle! (twitter)

Now the double portion sons are to pull it down? This whole matter is just silly, its words have no biblical basis.

A “mantle,” interpreted by the NAR (Latter Rain, 3rd wave) is a special anointing that can be given to another person, they have the power to pass on the Holy Spirit. They liken it to the transfer of authority in leadership between the Old Testament prophets Elijah and Elisha, or between Moses and Joshua. Unfortunately they have no basis for this in the New Testament. The fact is, that the only example they have is it passed on to a single person not a group, not a nation. A person who was under the authority and hands on training of the prophet. Of course this kind of detail should not get in the way of their Latter Rain agenda that changes something that is physical to be spiritual.

The Mantle Biblically

To receive a mantle was a call to the prophetic office. In Elisha’s case he was called to be the servant of the prophet 1 Kings 19:19. The mantle, was the peculiar garb of that prophet. Elijah threw it on Elisha to call him to be his protégé.

They (Engle and friends) do not even use the word in its correct definition (see 1 Sam. 28:14 Saul saw Samuel covered in a mantle. Elijah wraps his face in a mantle 1 Kings 19:13. 2 Kings 2:8 Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water so the water divided and they could cross.

What did Elisha ask for? 2 Kings 2:9-10 Elisha said, "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." He did not ask for his mantle, his clothing. He asked for a greater portion of God’s spirit to be upon him as it was upon Elijah.

As we further read 2 Kings 2:12-15 (After he saw Elijah taken) Elisha “ took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces. He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, "Where is the LORD God of Elijah?" And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over. Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said, "The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha."

He was recognized and welcomed by the sons of the prophets as the successor of Elijah.

Understanding Scripture read in context shows how wrong these men really are. A mantle was always a garment, a cloak. So did Billy Graham’s jacket fall on everyone? See how silly this is.

Likewise in Bethel church they hoped for the mantle of Branham, whom they all believe had great signs and wonders. We find this example by Pastor Kris Vollaton who asked “ God would you give me the mantle of William Branham ?” And, He said, “Well, how could I do that? If I did that it would destroy you.” Then, I was layin’ there and it was like, the Lord asked ‘how could I do that’ so then I said – I waited about a few minutes – I was thinking about and I said, “Well, you could put the same mantle on a whole generation then we wouldn’t stand out from one another .” He said, “Alright, I’ll do that.”

Isn’t that awesome? That’s what the Lord wants to do. He wants to put the, He wants – not just the mantle of William Branham, but how about the mantle of Jesus Christ? That’s even a bigger one there, and, uh, He wants to put it on every single person .” (Aug. 15, 2010 sermon of Bill Johnson titled, “The Real Jesus”)

Again, no mantles are mention in the whole New Testament. And God did not speak this.

Engle claims that Graham’s mantle will soon come upon the entire church, not just an individual as the Old Testament model illustrates. And the proclamation of the gospel will be accompanied by miraculous signs and wonders that will result in a spiritual “awakening” for America and the world through Engle, the chosen man of the hour, apparent heir to Graham for this result. Thus we have both the Latter Rain and kingdom now working in harmony. The one thing missing is the gospel.

The fact that Engle believes in himself and his importance for all this to take place is astonishing. And why not, he thinks the Holy Spirit spoke all this to him. This becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy orchestrated by all those involved with him.

If you want to have this mantle, you need to align yourself to Engle and YWAM (kingdom now 7 mountain mandate) the NAR apostles and prophets who are Latter Rain for this transformation of the world by the carriers of the new Graham anointing/ mantle.

If you are not on board with this new move that God is doing in his end-time plans and purposes, you will miss out. Where have we heard this language before? Rodney Howard Browne who told people to jump into the river or you will miss it. And guess whom Engle hosted at his first Send Conference? Rodney Howard.

I will have to delay on covering what was said and what was done so that we do not get ahead of ourselves.

Engle says The Send will have similar DNA to TheCall, but the two are not the same ministry. TheCall served a John the Baptist-type function, while The Send will focus on Jesus. The Holy Spirit told him, " 'I want you to begin to look for the Jesus ministry in America.' I've ended TheCall, and I am looking for The Send. I am looking for the Jesus evangelist, and the anointing will come."

Engle claims this is what the Holy Spirit said and is doing, which of course means that if you disagree you would be coming against God. However, it can only be coming from his own imagination, or worse. From what I can tell this man is under a self delusion, mixing his own imagination with theology from Scripture.

The main flaw; that the Holy Spirit is saying he is looking for Jesus evangelist, and the anointing will come. This should be obvious. He, the Holy Spirit is the anointing, and he has already come indwelling all believers, that’s what the new covenant is about. We are being conformed to be like Jesus. We are evangelists with a Billy Graham mantle. This is introducing a very different interpretation and unbiblical functioning of the Spirit in Christianity.

Not Billy Branham but instead Billy Graham

Andy Byrd of YWAM agrees that Graham's influence on the movement. " There are clear themes developing ... the first is the story line of the passion and zeal of Billy Graham (and other fathers/mothers) falling on a whole generation in a way where many are walking in the passion they carried. "

" The second is that out of The Send, we are really believing it will be another piece of catalyzing a Jesus movement across America (the re-evangelization of America) and a massive missions movement to the nations! The whole gathering is an 'adoption' movement. To see the church activated in adoptive love to adopt every high school. university, neighborhood and nation! Matthew 9:37: 'Lord, send laborers, for the harvest field is ripe.' He prays it out of his own adoptive love. Great compassion and zeal married together! ... In simplicity, activate and empower the all to reach the all. "

What he is describing is their creating a new Jesus movement, contrary to the spontaneous one that took place in the 70’s by the Holy Spirit.

TheSend tells us “the war on inaction has begun” that it is a new era!

That “Only 17% of churchgoers know what the Great Commission is and what it means. If every believer just led one person to Jesus this year 1/3rd of America would come to know Jesus”

My answer to this, the reason they do not know the great commission is probably not their fault, they have no motivation because they lack knowledge. Many do not know what the gospel is to explain it to others. And Engle’s movement does not a help since there focused on other things.

Engle says on his send website:

“America is hungry for the gospel. It’s not hype. it’s a fact.”

No, it is not fact, it is hype. Why do I say this? Because the Bible says no one seeks after God, people are not looking for the gospel but self fulfillment, happiness, pleasure. Their purpose will come from the gospel after they accept Christ but the true gospel which tells them they are sinful in need of savior is not what they are hungering for at all. Only a few are led to seek the truth.

A great awakening is at hand, and this is the hour of the double portion, sons and daughters.” The send says go. Go with what? Do these people know the gospel, understand it in the Biblical way? How can they when they are told of double portions and mantles coming on them, that the anointing is passed from one generation to another. The whole presentation is not grounded in Scripture. Which matters little to those involved in the Latter Rain movement of the new apostles and prophets.

Engle shares on Paul Cain

As I watched Engle annoyingly bend forward and back speaking on Billy Graham his mantle and his passing; that he died the next day, surmising “Could it be what Paul Cain saw of the stadiums of Florida… we are actually beginning to move into it at the time of his own passing.”

The fact that he is using Latter Rain Paul Cain’s prophecy for the Send should give anyone pause, if they know what Paul Cain was about.

His 40 day fast ended on 4/18, he mentions 50 days and we met Paul Cain there and Paul Cain told the story of his mother at age 44 was pregnant with Paul,… she was ravaged by 4 diseases… the doctor said you will not give birth to this child you will not live, but the lord visited her and said you will give birth to a boy” and you will call him Paul for he will do the miracles of the apostle Paul.”

The actual account of Paul Cain says it was the Angel of the Lord that visited her. William Branham claimed the same Angel before Cain. He said you shall live and not die, the fruit of your womb-shall be a malechild. Name him Paul. He shall preach my gospel as did apostle Paul of old” (Terri Sullivant, “Paul Cain: A Personal Profile,” Grace City Report, Special Edition, Fall, 1989, p. 2.)

So it is not as Engle says according to Cain’s own words, preach my gospel is not miracles of Paul. But this is what Engle often does, whether it is stories or the Scripture itself, a slight adjustment goes a long way.

Doug Addison a psychic seer in the church writes, “his mother Anna is where he got his seer gift and her mother and her mother.” (Understanding Paul Cain's Death from a Heavenly Perspective Doug Addison[Episode 82]February 20, 2019)

That is how unbiblical gifts are passed on from generation to generation. But Latter Rain adherents do not regard this.

Engle says Paul Cain’s mother lived to 104 years old , and called her son before she died saying “I have one more word to give to you, that word is the best word I have ever given to you. He said what is it? She said “I don’t know”. She has not said anything, and she went into a coma for 2 months, they prayed for her to come out of that coma. She came out of that coma and said I have received the word that I was to give you. The lord has given you Paul and the whole world Lk.4:18. Engle then makes the point “WE WERE PRAYING FOR 10 DAYS LK.4:18 that the scroll of Jesus the evangelist, the spirit of the Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed me, c’ mon if we ever get the scroll of Jesus, mental diseases, mental illnesses, every kind of disease, c’mon of Jesus shows up its over with for the devil, we must, our only hope is Jesus. And the spirit coming.”

Engle stops his rocking back and forward and then says “she gave that word and she died on 4:18. At 4.18 Mike Bickle was there at her passing. I can’t help but thinking as we prayed last year we have been building up right to this moment – that we begin to pray and cry out for the release of the scroll even after Jesus fasted 40 days that those who sit in darkness in America would see a great light, This our faith… And I think he’s planned Florida would be the swing state of a great spiritual awakening, a Jesus movement prophesied by Paul Cain 40 years,… maybe were the generation that seizes that promise… I believe Feb 23rd is a Jordan moment a crossover…” and on and on he went. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QilBm-m2QSw

What this has to do with Cain’s prophecy of stadiums is beyond me. This is meaningless as Paul Cain did not fulfill what his mother’s word was to him on Lk.4:18. Engel’s mishmash of Scripture and his storyline becomes evident as he tries to string this matter together to contain spiritual and even supernatural meaning. Jesus read from the scroll and we have the same words in our Bible, why is Engle talking about getting a scroll? Luke 4:17 “ He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: v.21 Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

To apply the scripture that was for Jesus’ introduction into his ministry is really showing some kind of chutzpah!

Even Paul Cain has not related this story of his mother in this manner. According to his book his mother was around 44 years old (1929) when Paul was born (He had nothing to say in his book about the day she died.) https://www.notjustnotes.ws/paulcainlifestory.htm

It doesn’t take much math to figure out she was born in approximately 1885, if she did live to 104 that would be 1989 when she died.

Engle has a completely different take on Paul Cain’s mother’s influence. This took place nearly 30 years ago, exactly how does her death relate to Graham and stadiums now? It doesn’t, but in Engle’s mind he makes it fit and even brings in the Holy Spirits stamp of approval.

Which makes me wonder how many more details in his stories that he uses for his spiritual mission are inaccurate.

How does Engle praying on 4:18 in 2018 have anything to do with Paul Cain’s mothers passing 29 years before? This is an exercise in his imagination to make this be spiritually significant.

Armies and stadiums

Paul Cain spoke of an army, Joel's Army, based on Joel 2: "I told you about ... this recurring [35 year-old] vision I had.... The angel of the Lord said, 'You're standing at the crossroads of life. What do you see?' And I saw a brilliantly lit billboard which reads, 'Joel's Army now in training.' . . . .I believe one day soon Joel's Army will be in training ... until it graduates into the stadium .…”

Paul Cain has prophesied a day when sporting events throughout the world will be canceled and stadiums would instead be used for LATTER RAIN revival meetings. He says the Lord gave him this vision around the late fifties or early sixties, and it his been repeated more than 100 times since then. This will have millions brought to Christ in a short period of time.

"I had a dream that became a recurring dream, and it was about all the stadiums - and we've told this hundreds and hundreds of time all across America, all over the world, in fact - and I saw these stadiums and football fields, soccer fields and sports arenas, all of them filled with thousands of people, sometimes over 100,000 in each place " (Christ Chapel, August 30, 1995).

Remember Promise Keepers, they thought that their movement was the fulfillment of this.

On the Elijah website, the gathering place of false prophets:

“A cataclysmic outpouring of the Holy Spirit has begun. We are already seeing great signs and wonders. We are beginning to see God's judgment upon his own house. We will soon see stadiums all over the world filled with spiritually hungry people pursuing god, and he will reward their pursuit. His judgments will purify his bride and make her more attractive than any other time in history . ("The Unknown Prophet" Steve Shultz)

We find “Branham filled the largest stadiums and meeting halls in the world.’ ... As the pacesetter of the healing revival ” (Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements 1988, p. 372.)

This again is another “Latter Rain” Branham connection as Paul Cain worked with Branham and claimed William Branham the greatest prophet in the 20th century due to“his gifting in the word of knowledge.”

Here is another example of how Lou Engle shapes other people’s words to fit his narrative.

“We have been struck by the date of Paul’s passing on 2/12 in light of 2 Kings 2:12 which recounts the very moment that Elisha saw Elijah taken up into heaven…it was on February 12, 2018 that Lou Engle was reading this very chapter and was anticipating the significant spiritual transfer that would occur at Billy Graham’s passing.” https://www.thebriefing.us/blog/2019/2/22/043-a-catalytic-moment

Some have even mistakenly said The birth of the outpouring of the Latter Day Rain was February 12, 1948. Saying Paul Cain passed February 12, 2019—exactly 71 years to the day!

Actually from what I read it was Wednesday the 13th Cain died according to Charisma magazine reporting and others. See bottom of page on https://www.charismanews.com/us/75193-major-pentecostal-leader-prophet-paul-cain-dies-at-89

Nonetheless, this typical spiritualizing of dates by those involved in Latter Rain is to bring significance to what they are doing. Branham did this all through his ministry. Claiming his angel was visiting him the exact same time Israel became a nation, which was untrue. We should not overlook that George Hawtin traveled to Vancouver, BC to see William Branham in November of 1947 prior to the Latter Rain breakout .

Engle no doubt believes in his own words as he speaks so emotionally on his topics. But this does not make it so, nor does it validate the Holy Spirit is working through him and orchestrating a new Jesus movement. The way the churches are set up today anyone can endorse another’s dream or vision and launch its popularity or make it happen. The word of mouth by false prophets goes a long way today, it travels far faster than the truth.

Engle’s associations and friendship has numerous false teachers of the worst kind.

Same as what Benny Hinn stated.

This is all began from Benny Hinn, the originator of this false prophecy. Hinn's invented prophecy of Graham may have certainly helped get him a slot at the first Send conference with Rodney Howard Browne
