WORKS and BRAINS FOR SALVATION

"Working hard for the reward of eternal life. (WT 8/15/1972 p.491)

"To get one's name written in that Book of Life will depend upon one's works." (WT 7/1/ 1947, p. 204)

How does a Jehovah Witness receive salvation? "Jesus Christ identified a first requirement when he said in prayer to his Father: 'This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you... Many have found the second requirement more difficult. It is to obey God's laws, yes, to conform one's life to the moral requirements set out in the Bible...A third requirement is that we be associated with God's channel, his organization...To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it...The fourth requirement is connected with loyalty. God requires that prospective subjects of his kingdom support his government by loyally advocating his kingdom rule to others..." (four requirements for salvation as taught by the Watchtower magazine of Feb. 15, 1983, p. 12)

A publisher is one who goes door to door faithfully proclaiming the gospel of JW paradise of earth. It is so serious that their eternal life depends on it. They toil long after everyone else goes home to rest. This is because one must accept more than just the kingdom message to be saved . This leaves out many to inherit Paradise considering them to be unfaithful JW’s.

God requires that prospective subjects of his kingdom support his government by loyally advocating his kingdom rule to others..." (four requirements for salvation found in the Watchtower magazine of Feb.15 1983 p. 12.)

When a evangelical says to a J.W at his door it is by grace through faith they reply to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. This really means they are all under the gun with fear and trembling to get it. They teach if you have no works then you can’t be saved so one must go door to door to be found faithful.

"There must also be works to demonstrate what your true feelings are about Jehovah."( YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER IN PARADISE ON EARTH,, 1982, ,p. 250."Such works will show that you are choosing life. (Loc. cit., p. 251.)

The Watchtower teaches their slaves to have accurate knowledge of the scriptures to gain salvation. But where do they get this knowledge? From the Watchtower magazine of course. Every time the magazine comes out all the Jehovah witnesses worldwide read the same thing and answer the same questions from the magazine. This where they receive their intellectual capacity for slavation which is demonstrated by their obedience in works. The bible presents a completley different way to slavation.  In John 6:44 Jesus says "No one can come to me unless the Father draws him ... John 16:8 tells us He does this through the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment,  v. 13--'He will guide you into all the truths

The Watchtower teaching denies the Bibles clear words and substitutes, 'The answer is that the drawing cannot be done through the Holy Spirit; for the world has not yet received that Spirit.' (WT p.84 Mar.15 1913) this means one cannot be guided into truth unless they join their organization. Its  a catch 22.

"Unless we are in touch with this channel of communication that God is using, we will not progress along the road to life, no matter how much Bible reading we do." The Watchtower, December 1, 1981, p. 27) "Such thinking is an evidence of pride....If we get to thinking that we know better than the organization, we should ask ourselves: 'Where did we learn Bible truth in the first place? Would we know the way of the truth if it had not been for guidance from the organization? Really, can we get along without the direction of God's organization?' No, we cannot!" The Watchtower, January 15, 1983, p. 27

In the place of the drawing and convicting work of the Holy Spirit they replace it with the shape of a person's brain determines" whether he can be drawn to God They go on to say: Some have a strong desire to worship God, others have a weak desire, and others have no desire at all 'This difference is due to the shape of the brain.( WT p.84 Mar.15,1913)

We need certain Brains for Salvation!

The Watchtower declared that some with superior brains will come to God, while others with inferior brains will not.( WT p.84 Mar.15,1913) The Society's first president, Charles Taze Russell, actually had his own skull examined to determine his moral character. From the Superior Court record of Russell's divorce from his wife Maria: He repeatedly stated "The proper 'brain and head' shape was supported by the 'science' of Phrenology, of which Russell was a great believer: ' 1 am not self-conceited, no as far as 1 am aware; on the contrary, two phrenologists who have examined my head have told me that 1 am deficient in self-esteem." (Russell Vs. Russell 1906 divorce trial, testimony by Charles Russell, p. 223)

Russell had his friends vouch for his head shape assuring the people' A dear brother who is a phrenologist, speaking of brother Russell, said the Lord knew perfectly well when he picked out that head, that there was not one iota of self-love in his make up. (1911 Convention Report, p. 281 ,

This teaching became spiritualized "Nevertheless we may admit that Phrenology so far as understood fully corroborates the picture given us in the arrangement of the Tabernacle of Israel surrounded by the camp. Thus:- If we imagine the human skull as spread out flat, we find that the central part would correspond to the Tabernacle and its court,' for in the very center of the head on top lies spirituality, and directly in front of it lies veneration.' (Watchtower 7/15/1907, p. 217 )

'Jesus was at the mark because he was a perfect human body with a perfect human brain. Our disposition comes from our brain, not "in our liver. To be gentle, kind and meek comes from our brain. You remember the picture of Jesus that shows his unusually beautiful head. A phrenologist said that perfect head showed his love of children, friends, etc.... The person that has a large bump of benevolence on his head will naturally be kind and loving ... We have these qualities of benevolence because our head is shaped a certain way.' (Saint Paul Enterprise, 10/30/17, p. 3)

To think he has proof from an imaginary picture of Jesus. like anything else that they once said Phrenology was later pronounced as false in the Watchtower:

Much has been learned about the brain, but far more remains a mystery. By the use of electrodes, areas of the cerebral cortex have been mapped out, showing what functions are performed and where, Some false beliefs have been removed, such as phrenology-the study of 'character traits" by feeling bumps on the head, The shape of the skull is not determined by the shape of the cerebrum, nor is it possible to assign 'character traits' to specific areas of the brain. (Watchtower, 7/15/78, p. 17

While they have discarded the shape of the brain for salvation current teaching is that the ability to take in knowledge is necessary for salvation. Becoming a JW involves the 'reconfiguring' of the brain and 'brain power'

'They must let the old circuits put into their brains by the schemes and propaganda's, the lusts and immoralities of the old world fade out through disuse, and replace them with new circuits built up by the tight thinking and acting recommended by Jehovah's new world.' Watchtower, 6/1/53, p. 343

'Timid persons, or those feeling inferior intellectually, can take comfort from the Apostle John's words: 'We know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us intellectual capacity that we may gain the knowledge of the true one (Jehovah God).' 1 John 5:20' (Aid to Bible Understanding, 1971 p. 1160)

If what they say is true then there is No Need of Jesus or his grace. We can do this by ourselves.

The Watchtower's views about brain capacity have even been inserted into their Bible translation. 1 John 5:20 reads in their version: "But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us intellectual capacity that we may gain the knowledge of the true one ".... in other accurate Bible translations this reads quite differently. " And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true ....And we are in him who is true, his son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life."

The Scriptures say we can know God not just gain knowledge' about Him. There is a big difference. The former stops short of a real relationship. The Watchtower said God draws people by the shape and power of their brains, but the Bible says we can know Him,  being drawn by the Holy Spirit by being convicted of sin through the Holy spirit and accepting Jesus as our Savior and LORD. As a child knows his daddy we can know God. Its not working or joining an organization.

They deny a spiritual birth which Jesus said was a necessity for all “He said ; unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.(Jn.3:3-5) …The other sheep do not need any such rebirth, for their goal is life everlasting in the restored earthly paradise as subjects of the kingdom.” (WT 2/15/1986 p.14)

“Only a limited number is born again. The great crowd does not need to be born again. Their life is earthly, not heavenly.” (WT 4/1/1988 p.18)

If you are not born again you will not even see the kingdom of God. Regardless whether it is in Heaven or on earth. All this has nothing to do with intellectual prowess. however they find themselves smarter than the Holy Spirit who is God. The Holy Spirit is presented as neither God nor a personal being but  an "active force."  For they teach the  Holy Spirit" refers to the "invisible active force of the Almighty God that moves his servants to do his will" ("Let God Be True," rev. [1952],89).

Consider that Jesus says in jn.4 that God is Spirit. This makes the Father Spirit. If the Holy Spirit is his active life force what does this make the Father. An impersonal force an energy. So now the father is not really a personal being.

Jesus never said that we enter in by intelligence, for those who change the Scripture and its meaning  they prove they are the wise that Paul said God confounded in the world.
