Who died for YOU?

The Bible teaches the creator of the universe who has all knowledge, all power who is eternal came from heaven and became man to make himself known to man and then die for mankind’s sin.

This is not accepted by numerous groups, churches whom call themselves Christian; Christ followers. From the outset I must pose this point: How can one follow when they do know who the person is they are following?

This is why they are labeled cult’s, schisms, aberrant groups; they have divided themselves from the genuine faith.

The Bible teaches that Jesus was not just a man who was sacrificed for our sin but God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself (2 Cor.5:19). It was our creator who bled and died in the body on calvary. This is God’s love shown for each of us individually through this last of all sacrificial acts.

The deity of Christ is often a missing element within the gospel presentation inside the church that believes Jesus is God.

In the same chapter of 1 Cor. 15 Where Paul explains the gospel from the beginning, he tells us that Jesus is the Lord from heaven. That is what makes this an eternal gospel that can affect people not only then when he died but those in the past and the future.

1 Cor. 15: Paul describes comparisons, in v.45 "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

v. 47-49 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. This is the Son of God who became man (the son of man) by the virgin conception, which is also crucial to who He is.

The gospel cannot bring salvation, new life if you believe Jesus is only a man, or an angel because that is not who He is. You must have the actual person of the gospel correct. If one denies Jesus’ deity they have denied the gospel that can save them.

If you are calling on a different Jesus, the real one cannot respond. For example, if a Mormon calls on the Jesus who they believe was born in Jerusalem, who is the spirit brother of Satan and other angels, that is not the Jesus of the Bible.

The same for a Jehovah Witness calling on Jesus as Michael the arch angel; or iglesia ni Christo who says he is “but a man.”

This not the Jesus of the Bible.

If you went to buy a car, lets say a Mercedes that is costly you would expect all the parts to be built by the company Mercedes. What if you bought this car and did not know that the chassis the engine and the inside was some other company and only the outside body is a Mercedes. It was put over these no Mercedes parts to cover up the real car you were sold.

No one like to be taken to the cleaners, to be defrauded. But this is what happens to you when you have a counterfeit Jesus. This what people are getting when they are convinced to join a church or group who have a different Jesus.

And the Bible speaks about another Jesus

The Bible describes God as the self- existing, self- sufficient, the cause of all things.

In Ex. 3:15 God said His name to Moses as, “I am who I am” eyeh asher eyeh, this is my name forever. Both eyeh and Yahweh (YHWH the tetragrammaton) have the root meaning of underived existence. For God is eternally self- existent; Jesus applied this name of God to Himself.

Jesus used the term “I am” 23 times in the gospels for himself, 7 of these in John's gospel specifically identify him as deity.

For example, in John 11:25 Jesus states, “I AM the Resurrection and the Life”

When Jesus said at his crucifixion "it is finished," he dismissed His own spirit choosing the time to die. Showing he is more than man.

I am “the resurrection” shows us that he has power over death. He even raised himself from the dead. John 2:19 "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." speaking of his body.

In Jn.14:6 Jesus said, I AM the way, the truth, and the life and explains that “No-one comes to the Father except through me

He is not one of many ways to God that we can choose from, but “the” ONLY way for all time. The way God himself gave.

For example John 8:24 " for if you do not believe that I am, you will die in your sins." ( ‘I am “he”’ is not in the original language)

The final revelation; is Yeshua- Jesus, which means God is salvation. How? By becoming man. This is what makes the gospel unique, because of the who that died for our sins. Without this crucial element one can believe Jesus died for sins and not receive forgiveness because they did not call on the right Jesus to save them.

Even in his day Jesus was a fairly common name among the Jews, He was identified as Jesus of Nazareth. Today it can be a common name in certain cultures.

What good is it to be accurate in a name if you don't know who the person of the name actually is? Some make his name more crucial than the person, such as the Jehovah Witnesses; or sacred name groups.

Scripture affirms that God HIMSELF is our savior, believe on the person of the name; The apostle Paul quoting Joel 2:32 in Romans 10:13, “And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” calling upon Jesus Christ is calling on the Lord - they are one and the same.

The Bible warns of "ANOTHER JESUS." Someone who is called "Jesus" (Yeshua). But is someone who has a different IDENTITY, he is not the same in substance, he is not God in the flesh.

God says Isa.19:20 “Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”

God promised “he shall send them a Savior.” Isa.63:8-9 “so he became their savior.” 1 John 4:14, “The Father sent the Son as Savior of the world.”

Only those saved by the gospel, who have personally experienced its effects can give the gospel to others. This is why it excludes Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Iglesia ni Christo, also Roman Catholics (who think Jesus becomes a wafer and wine and are saved by it).

They may be dedicated to their particular group, church or religion believes. They may be trying to live a life according to the scripture the best they can. But, if one is still working to get salvation then it is obvious they are not a present possessor of it and cannot offer it to others.

This is why they replace it with joining their church or organization. They unite around other deniers of the fundamental teaching of the faith 1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh.”

This is a mystery how God can become a man live among his people and at over 30 years old be crucified for their sins.

This mystery is made known

1 Cor 2:7-9 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”

Receive the Lord of the gospel, don’t let them cheat you with a counterfeit and rip off your eternal life.
