Is the Father or the Son the Holy Spirit (the comforter)?

This sounds like an easy question to be answered but not so much for those who are of the Oneness persuasion. As we will see, the Bible teaches The Father is not the comforter, the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (not he said)

So the Father sends the Holy Spirit.

Neither is Jesus the Holy Spirit who is called the helper, the comforter.

John 15:26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.” Here all three are distinguished as distinct not the same.

So Jesus sends the Holy Spirit; FROM the Father.

Jn. 16:5-7 "Unless I go away, the counselor will not come to you, but If I go away I will send him to you."

Is he sending himself? No he is sending another, just as the Greek language clarifies

John 16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

Clearly Jesus is not he Holy Spirit or he would be sending himself.

The Bible teaches the Father sent the Son from heaven…

John 6:38 Jesus states, “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of HIM WHO SENT ME.”(same as Heb.10:5)  selah

And he was sent from heaven existing with the Father

Jn.8:42 “I proceeded forth and came from God, nor have I come of myself but He sent me.”
Jn.7:29 " I am from him and he has sent me."

At a certain point in time Christ left his habitation with the Father in heaven and became flesh on earth still enjoying that relationship he had trough eternity.

John 6:62 "What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?" Clearly the Son is from above, heaven, as he said the Father is in heaven

John 16:16, 17, 28 states, "I came forth from the Father and have come into the world, again I leave the world and go to the Father.

The Holy Spirit is not the Father and the Father is not the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is sent. Just as the Son is sent by another. Therefore the Father is not the Son and the Son is not the Father just as the Holy Spirit is not the Father or Jesus.

1 Jn.4:14...”That the Father sent the Son as the savior of the world”. It is the Father who sent the Son, never the reverse. The Father is not the Savior, the Son is.  The Holy Spirit is sent by the Son, he is not the sender of the Son nor the sender of the Father (Jn.14:26,15:26).
