pt.3 A Kingdom now militancy vs. the Biblical model of patiently waiting for the king to bring the kingdom to earth

“See, God's called us - there's a reason why He called the apostles 'apostles.'  I don't know if you realize, it's actually a military term.  Let me help you understand this.  In the ancient days, when a king would come in he would conquer a land, he would rule over it, and what he would do is he would take his people - who are called 'apostles' - and he would send them into the conquered cities.  But the thing was, is that if you had the big cities is where the wars would go on they would have to go even farther and they would have to go into - and there would still be little skirmishes going on because there would be resistance, right?  Because they're not gonna go without a fight.  But he would also send people into the little villages and everything and they would undo their stroll and they would say, "And henceforth, here is the decree from the king, King So-and-So" and they would say, "Well, I don't know who that is."  "Well, guess what, he's your new king. And here's the other deal, here's how we do things in his kingdom, here's what the culture looks like." And they would go into those villages and you know what the job for the apostle was?  The job of the apostle is to make this city like the one you just came from.

I do not know where he heard this from but the word Apostle is NOT a military term- apostle means sent one according to the Bible, someone chosen specifically by Christ (in the first tier). The second tier chosen by the church to plant churches where there are none. So now he has changed the office and title of apostle in how the Bible explains it. What he is trying to do is correlated the our being militaristic as we go out, not by giving the gospel but by conquering cities.

(Jude 17). Jude does not mention any continuance of apostles in the Church but points back to the original ones. Jesus never said he would continue to pick more apostles to do the same work they did in the first century. Paul mentions 12 throughout his ministry. His application “The job of the apostle is to make this city like the one you just came from” is not what is explained or seen in Scripture. If that is what their job was, they failed. What city did any apostle model after another? This is fantasy theology, not Christianity.

Jesus doesn't just use terms just like, "I'm just gonna call you guys a church and I'm just gonna call you guys apostles."  He's saying we have a mission, and it's "Go." And this is how we do it: we make this city like the one that we came from.

It's really simple and it's so plain all over scripture that this is what we're supposed to do."

Is it plain? What apostles made cities like the one they came from? Where is that in Scripture? Clearly Dabdoub is being trained in error from his mentors, as he proclaims the 7 mountains mania. So Dabdoub what city are you transforming? Where’s the last city you came from? Where’s the city the apostles transformed? They came from Jerusalem, was that transformed, so what city was made like Jerusalem, the original one they all came from?

“Dad's given us everything that we need with regard to be able to do this stuff.  And the kingdom of God has an answer to everything that you're going to look for."

See, here's the deal.  Is that, where else am I seeing the kingdom break in?  Well you know what?  I can see it in this country.  Some of you guys don't like our president.  Here's the deal - some of you in this room never thought you'd ever see a black person in leadership in this country, did you.  In one generation - one generation - we go from segregation to a black man as president.  I want you to understand how significant this is because you have never lived in a time when things can change so quickly.  You've never lived in a time when you could speak one word and it go out to thousands of people and go viral.  You've never had the opportunity to speak and act on things.  It is the advancement, it's the acceleration of the kingdom and what he's doing.   And so when I see a black man as the president or I see a black man who is the coach of Texas A&M and he gets a big multi-million dollar contract and his race isn't even considered his merit if who he is as a man and what he has done, then I say "Thank you, your kingdom is breaking in God."

When I see that that poverty has been reduced more in the last 50 years, there are fewer people living in poverty than ever in the existence of the world.  More has been done with people in poverty in 50 years than the previous 500 years - that is what the kingdom comes to address.

It's all of these things. I want to see people's bodies healed but God has strategies to heal systems in this country as well.  We have to understand that poverty is just as much anti-Kingdom as anything else.

How is worldly professions become the kingdom breaking in? Apparently everything in the world, even our communication is the kingdom; it is not! The mistake is seeing the changes in the world as a direct correlation to God’s kingdom.

Loren Cunnigham of YWAM, the main inventor of the 7 mountains culture change said nearly the same years ago.  “The richest woman in America is also one of the greatest communicators in the world, Oprah Winfrey.it goes out into the politics, the leader of the United Nations is an African from Ghana , the second most powerful man in the world is Colin Powell. The first most powerful; woman in the world is Condaleeza Rice. And- and you begin to see this and you say what is that God is up to and I began to watch and I saw the area of the spiritual leadership. (Benny Hinn Interview with Loren Cunningham from Big Isle Hawaii YWAM base, Feb. 2003, Day Star programming)

One’s race has nothing to do with spirituality, nor the kingdom. Oprah is considered a new ager - is that spiritual leadership? These changes in culture does not have any correlation to the kingdom manifesting.

As far as poverty being anti kingdom? The apostles were poor -- were they anti kingdom? Does anything this person say match the Bible or is he just repeating all the wrong he heard?

Though poverty has improved the last 20-40 years, 1.2 billion people are living in extreme poverty according to world bank figures. The nations and governments resolving these problems according his theology is part of the kingdom breaking through is hardly what Scripture describes as God’s kingdom being present.

James 2:5 “Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

Why are they rich in faith? Because they have depend on God daily for every need. Luke 6:20 Jesus said: "Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.” What he is not saying is that the poor need to no longer be poor for the kingdom to be growing.

Jesus said Matt 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." He did not say make them rich but help them in their needs. Mark 10:21 Treasure in heaven is about ETERNAL rewards. Not on earth now.

Luke 14:13-14"But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. "And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just." We are not to have the government resolve these problems.

Luke 18:22 distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

Anything that you see - cause it's really simple  - as Kingdom people this is the way that we look at things:  anything that I see on earth that does not look like heaven, has to go, because that's not the city that we come from.”

We do not come from a city in heaven. We are made citizens of heaven when we become believers.  And we should not expect things on earth to look like heaven (even a healthy church would be a glimpse of it). Who is he to decide what does or does not look right? We have already seen his judgment is unbiblical. This is putting yourself in the place of God and is fulfilling 2 Peter 3.

“And if we're not seeing those things manifest then I have to say, "You know what, maybe this congressman doesn't have an answer for my city with this but I know somebody who does."  And we do.”

“Let me show you this scripture. This is gonna blow your mind, ok?  We're going to go Old Testament because this is still relevant - cause it's a good story.  So in 2 Kings 4:1-7,  I'll try to read this really fast -  its Elisha and the widow - "A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha saying 'Your servant, my husband, is dead and you know that your servant feared the Lord and the creditor's coming to take my two sons to be as slaves.'  So Elisha said to her, 'What shall I do for you?  Tell me what do you have in the house.'

He uses 2 Kings 4:1-7 and goes into a long explanation. Making a promise out of a unique miracle from a prophet for a prophet’s wife is wrong. V. 6-7 we find Elijah filled the pots of oil and told her, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest."

Paul said of himself he lived in both need and abundance and he was content in both, sometimes we cannot change our circumstance, and need to wait on the Lord and trust him in the lean times. The Apostle Paul is OUR example.

Then he says,

“See that's what the kingdom does, because we're not people with lack unless we believe that we have lack.  What we have here is supposed to go to the nations. Because what has to happen -because some of you, you are living in situations where you're watching people in the company that you work for and they're dropping like flies because their getting fired left and right.  Maybe your job isn't to sit there wondering, "Well, I hope I'm not next then I am really afraid."  No, maybe you are the ruling spirit and authority that God is going to get divine revelation that turns your company upside down for your boss and you go into hiring surge while the rest of the economy is tanking and they start actually hiring people and it brings other people out of poverty.  And maybe when you're the ruling authority in that business that what ends up happening is that your boss didn't care anything about Jesus until you showed a divine revelation that changed everything - and then he wants to know about your Jesus.

See, if it's good enough for the church, it's good enough for the world.  And there are some people that we are trying to answer questions that they are not asking.”

Apparently the kingdom is abundance of oil (or whatever you want to substitute). Mixing word faith teaching does not help.  Clearly he is over spiritualizing and misapplying the Scripture. So if the boss does not want to know Jesus because he saves him from the judgment of his sin but instead for an idea in business that he will make money from, he is still rejecting the gospel and only wants to know what will improve his business. This is mammon over the intent of the gospel which is to save us from our sin and have us come into a relationship with our maker. It does not seem as ifDabdoub believes we will be judged, as the only mention of the gospel in his whole speech was his mocking what people did with the four spiritual laws in relation to Jesus' return.

At this point we need to hear what bill Johnson teaches "…the company of people who have joined this quest for an authentic gospel - the gospel of the kingdom - is increasing." (Johnson, Bill When Heaven Invades Earth. 2003; p 27. Emphasis is in original).  So here is the idea that increase in the world is part of the kingdom.

There is territory out here that is waiting, there are businesses that are waiting to be formed and there are strategies that God wants to give to us….What I am saying is that the prophetic and God says "the mysteries of the kingdom is given to you as sons and daughters."

It is your inheritance and it is your right and we need to know what those are if we're going to set up systems of government of the kingdom that changes everything for everybody

Are WE going to set up kingdom governments (plural)? Here is the crux of the matter, the so called kingdomizers in the church want to change the world into the image they think is right. He is so far off the basic requirement of the meek inherit the earth, God exalts the humble, meaning those under authority of Jesus.

This is KLAZY, (no this is not a misspelling) I’m referring to a word that explains being krazed by a new discovery (new revelation) and lazy in their Bible study.

Exactly how is Dabdoub and others going to implement God’s government? They are not getting voted in, so how exactly does this take place? They have yet to make a city, a state, a country Christian by their ways. So how is this to be done? How do they go against God’s prophecy that says a false Messiah comes to rule over the world first before Jesus returns? Or should we ignore or deny that it says this in the Bible.

In the New Testament many made the mistake of Jesus’ first coming being the fulfillment of all the prophecies, they are doing the same. Luke 19:11: “they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately.” Jesus said to a certain generation will at the end that sees all the signs thatDabdoub says not to look for, Luke 21:31: “when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” Is Jesus is wrong, becauseDabdoub says it’s already here. 1 Jn. 2:17 “And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” What is the will we are asked to do?

The church is not victorious in the way he claims. We do not implement His government, it is already implemented in the church that is under the head. We are to wait for the savior/king to have this occur for the world.

Once you stop running from neighborhoods that are crime-ridden and you leave them in their poverty and start invading it with the Kingdom and show them what the culture looks like they will start changing their lives and aligning with Kingdom values because they see it works for you.”

This is the very opposite of how the bible teaches to reach people. We do not use the world’s ways to win the world. We have heard all this before, for over 20 years the transformation model has been touted and we are told it has success yet it never is seen. Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15), not change the culture for the kingdom to be established.

And then after the values start changing, they start giving their lives to Jesus as well.  This is what revival ultimately looks like.  We get transformed, we go out into the world, we change it and after a while laws start changing because it becomes the law of the land because it just works and it makes sense.

No, values change after one gives their life to Jesus -- NOT before. This is crucial, everything is backwards in this kingdom model. This is not how Jesus instructed us to reach PEOPLE.Dabdoub is teaching to reach the government and change government. This is the 7 mountain model that is completely removed from a Scriptural principle of evangelism (seen in Mt.28:18-19).

1 Cor. 1:21 “For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.”

I Jn. 5:19 “the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.” Eph. 2:2 mentions the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.”

“This is the kingdom guys.  This is how this [the church] gets moved out into the city because you know what this room is full of?  98% of you will not be in full-time ministry. 2%-3% of us do this gig - that our ministry is our vocation.  There's not a separation, there's really not a separation but we just say that our ministry is to you guys.  98% of you who are not that mode, you're all in full-time ministry

You're strategically placed in the world to bring His Kingdom.  Because whatever place you think is un-sacred and secular in your life you have deemed unworthy for God's presence to fill it.  Any place that you deem secular in your life, what you are saying in that statement is God's kingdom is not available here.  It's a big deal because God wants it all and Jesus paid for it all.

I agree we can be strategically placed to bring the kingdom, a spiritual birth to people. The physical kingdom is not here until the king who is to run the kingdom returns. Any other alternative view is not of faith but a complete denial of the Scriptures revelation. The world and its system are not changed by the church to bring the kingdom, people are changed. Jesus changes the sin and corruption in man first.

Jesus told his disciples to brush their feet off as a sign of the rejection they had in villages that rejected their message Luke 9:5-6"And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them." So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

We, the saints, do not receive the kingdom until Jesus returns, judges the world and sets up His kingdom.

“He's trying to establish stuff but there's belief systems that we've been taught that are inaccurate and they're not 'Kingdom'.  They're fatalistic and they're weak and I'd say at the very least they're demonic because the enemy's always trying to steal your inheritance.”

I agree that we can be taught belief systems that are inaccurate, because he’s doing it. Our inheritance is by our salvation, being made citizens of heaven by our names written in the Lambs book of life, our inheritance is not our power. To say those who hold to this other view are in the least demonic certainly reflects on calling God the same who wrote this view this view of the end of the age in the Bible.

“He tries to keep you from ever knowing Jesus and then he tries to keep you from ever knowing who you are.  The light bulbs are going on all over the place in this room this morning because God made you for more.

We're not were not weak, powerless people.  We're people with answers and you have permission to ask your Daddy for it.  That's why it's so important for us to raise up people who can hear God's voice.”

We can all hear God’s voice through the word and the Spirit confirming it. We do not raise up anyone who hears a voice separate from the Word. God raises people up who have studied to show themselves approved.
