pt.3 Strategies of an earthly war for God

The warfare strategy: Lance Wallnau writes: “if the world is to be won, these are the mountains that mold the culture and the minds of men. Whoever controls these mountains controls the direction of the world and the harvest therein.”(A Prophetic, Biblical, and Personal Call to the Marketplace, privately circulated paper, nd., np.) bold mine

Wallnau also states on one of his teaching by video That Jesus will not come back until we take these mountains. “There is no prevailing apostolic vision because of the mischief of eschatology. Because most believers are AFRAID to take on the giants in their nations” (the 7 mountain) Wallnau thinks this is the reason, saying, “we created a theology that eliminates the responsibility for having to take territory and rather focuses on just getting people saved so when Jesus comes back He can repopulate the earth with people that are followers and let him take over the planet.”

How many problems can one create in a short statement? Like or not that is exactly as it will transpire; read Mt.24-25. All those who enter the Millennium period (the kingdom age) are saved (Isa 65). There will be those born afterwards who will not be, but when Jesus returns all those who took the mark are history, removed from the earth. Which according to the Bible is the majority of the world in the tribulation; the saints are being eliminated by the shining ones of the false Messiah in the Tribulation (Rev.13). This is God’s way to remove the 7 mountains.

The Bible says we wait for the Son from heaven (Phil. 3:20; 1 Thess. 1:20; Heb.9:20b), i.e.; as they waited for the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Jesus brings the kingdom to earth by Him being physically present ruling from Jerusalem. There is no kingdom overtaking the earth with the king not physically here. This dominionist eschatology is man centered (in Jesus’ name of course), we do it for him. Wallnau has it backwards, the nation’s become His BECAUSE He returns. The Father gave them all to the Son (Ps.2), not us.

This kind of end time reign of the church, is where all dominionists end up. Their transformation methods by spiritual warfare failed. (Remember Mendez and others destroyed, killed, took captive Satan on Mt. Everest). Now they have a new model, the 7 mountains. Wagner as a pragmatist will try anything. After all he says “…the end DOES justify the means. … If the method I am using accomplishes the goal I am aiming at, it is for that reason a good method. If, on the other hand, my method is not accomplishing the goal, how can I be justified in continuing to use it?” (C. Peter Wagner, “Your Church Can Grow - Seven Vital Signs Of A Healthy Church”, 1976, p.137)

Take note Wagner is considered an apostle of the apostles. But he does not base his apostleship on the Bible, and he decides what is accepted by how it works, not by what is biblical! What sham … this is not Biblical wisdom but plain liberalism. Just like Gamaliel’s statement to let it be and see what happens to prove whether it was of God or not. Can they show where taking over the 7 mountains works, even on a small scale? It will never take place (only in their minds).

How does one change the business and government of another nation they are not part of when they can’t change their own. This is a repeat of their failed spiritual warfare programs that began in the early 90’s that they claimed were successful. It worked (according to apostle Wagner). 25 years later they have nothing to show, except their braggadocios accomplishments (such as their finest hour upon on Mt. Everest where Satan was fallen and the Queen of heaven with him).

What will unfortunately take place is that the church will give them more control and they will have control and take the churches money. Hopefully you’re not one of them. Some of them must know this is not going to happen; because God has already said so in his word.

Wallnau also states of taking the 7 mountains on earth “the objective of a war is victory, but the objective of victory is occupation.” Is this what Jesus meant when he said to occupy until he comes? He meant to be salt and light, to show the difference of being a follower among those who are not.

And what are we to make of Jesus who spoke " that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world"(John 16:33)

Or John that wrote “And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever” (I Jn 2:17)

What is the will of God? I can tell you based on the whole word of God it is not to take over the 7 spheres, mountain’s of the world.

Wallnau teaches the Mountain of the Lord is to be now. That, we do not have an architectural blueprint of the house of the Lord (as if we build it). Referring to God’s people walking out of Egypt with all the wealth but without having a blueprint of the house they erected an idol to their own imagination and offended God (comment: God gave them a blueprint of the tabernacle LATER, they could not come up with this blueprint themselves. And the idol – the golden calf that was built, was a god from Egypt, not their imagination).

They always use Old Testament models for these theories because there is nothing said like this in the New Testament.

We are told the devil has a hand in all these spheres (except the church mountain; which I would counter as being inaccurate; he’s there too.)

Wallnau teaches, We do not have a message for kings, we say get saved, “that’s called the gospel of salvation, that’s not the gospel of the kingdom” (stating getting a ruler saved is not the end of their problem, having a solution to their problem is what God wants to see).

Let me address this idea that the gospel of salvation is not the gospel of the kingdom. Put aside that this sounds similar to Jehovah Witnesses. The obvious should be said; that one cannot see the kingdom of God without having salvation (Jn.3). Wallnau is implying there are two gospel messages or two parts of the same message? One for salvation and one for the kingdom.

Gal. 1:8 “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.” There is but one gospel for all people, for all time.

Of course they know this; being the word smiths that they are they finagle the intent, “While there is only one gospel, Os points out that the gospel we have primarily preached throughout the earth focuses on individual salvation. The gospel of salvation redeems souls but only indirectly redeems economic, educational, political, or artistic institutions. The gospel of the kingdom, on the other hand, includes the gospel of salvation but encompasses the larger and more ambitious project of teaching to save nations while preaching to save souls. Making disciples of entire people groups and nations is the end game.” (Lance Wallnau: Change Agent p.xi August 2011)

What a convoluted explanation; the gospel is for people IN ALL NATIONS. It is to save people. This saving nations has been propagated by Wagner, and it is incorrect. I Jn 4:5-6 “They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” One speaks God’s word correctly the other does not.

Wallnau: “The spirit of God wants to endorse a people that is proclaiming Jesus is Lord and the coming of a new kingdom that means god is going to give extraordinary supernatural wisdom and success and favor and supernatural access and portals of glory… God wants to make himself so tangible that people can believe he will manifest himself in places they’ve never seen him go before.”

In government “you are dealing with a spiritual principality up there, so God has to have a royal priest who can ascend to high places and open a portal of glory and on top of that high place they and their friends can come into agreement, now you have a tabernacle a house, a church a governing purpose where fire comes down the presence of God is there and God is glorified.”

We are priests because we administer the gospel according to Paul. It means bringing people to know the Lord by his word.

2 Cor. 5:18-20 “…Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.”

Portals of glory? God has to have a high priest to ascend to open portals for his glory. Which does eliminate God being omnipresent. We do not open up portals, and we do not have a royal priest that ascends. Some of you may recall that it says this in 1 Peter. This is the only time the term royal priesthood (plural) is given is by Peter as he compares the Jewish believers to the former Levitical priesthood that is no longer in operation.

1 Pet 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

We know it is Jewish believers because Peter was the apostle to the Jewish people and he says right after “having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, (v: 12). Scripture does not speak of any individual that is a royal priest that must ascend to open a portal for a mountain to be taken. The Bible does not teach of portals, this new age term is becoming more popular among the church and it is unfounded (no Joseph did not have a portal open with a ladder).

Also, the only place the New Testament speaks of fire coming down is when John and James wanted to call it down for judgment and were rebuked for having a wrong spirit.

Luke 9:54-56 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. "For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them."

Here we have the mention of Elijah again. Made famous for what happed to the prophets of Baal. In the book of Revelation the false Messiah calls fire down from heaven for all to see; not a good thing.

Rev 13:13-14 “He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.”

The bible says we wait for the Son from heaven, He brings the kingdom to earth by Him returning and removing those who practice evil (as he did in the flood; it’s called Armegeddon). He begins to rule from Jerusalem (called the Millennium). There is no church ruling before this. But the dominionist eschatology is we take over the worlds system before his coming – for him.

Wallnau, like others, uses an Old Testament model for his dominionism teaching that is completely removed from the way Scripture teaches the kingdom will come. They spiritualize. Allegorize, use symbols, numbers to connect dots to make a picture that is not there, that is not God’s prophetic plan, but is man’s plan
