Pt.2 Out of context Christianity

The church is supposed to be a sanctuary, a place where one can find healing emotionally, spiritually and physically. A pastor is to watch over the flock as an under shepherd, as he is under Jesus the chief shepherd. A shepherd is to keep us (sheep) safe from harm. Which means he leads us in to green pasture’s to eat good food that will bring health.

Poison or nourishment are our choices. The church you choose will either help or hinder growth.

Today you can go to a good church hear sound doctrinal teaching and then people come home and enjoy false teachers on their Christian TV network. The pastor may never know this is taking place, as it works against all that he teaches correct to his church. You can say this is undermining his shepherding and even sheep stealing in a subtle way. Can a pastor address the sheep’s spiritual frolicking on their own, probably not!

Some of the more abject errors we see being taught in the church today:

*Christians no longer sin or have sin, some believe we are now completely holy.

Then we do not have to wait for the resurrection for our bodies to be transformed to  immortality. There is no teaching on repentance, reconciliation or forgiveness because sin is not the focus or discussed to an audience of Christians. So they cannot grow and offenses increase.

*Jesus was only a man on earth, he put aside His deity. He was only a man, a prophet, not the God – man. This means the Gnostics who were enemies of Christianity were right, and this is also the same teaching one finds in the cults and the world. This diminishes Jesus’ uniqueness which the Bible declares as him being the Only begotten Son of God.

*Because of the anointing, we are told all have is the same power and ability that Jesus had. There is no distinction between Jesus and us. He is not the only begotten Son of God which has the meaning in scripture that no other human being is God in the flesh, an eternal son with the father.

So then Jesus is not the only Christ, we then become Christ[s] too as children of God. So many Obnoxious prideful teachings like we are all kings and priests now so we should act like it.

This is what the New Age Movement and occultists teach. Jesus is called THE Son of God not a Son of God. In other words he is not adopted but is eternally the Son in relation to the Father, as the creator. They are of the same eternal nature.

Are we sons of God like Jesus is a Son of God? In the New Testament there are two Greek words that are used for "Son." For those who have experienced the new birth are called Sons of God by an adoption (John 1:12); the Greek word is teknon (Romans 8:14-15, 19:23; Gal. 4:5, Eph.1:5). We find that this word for "son" is not used for Jesus; instead, the Greek word huios is used, which refers to his position by nature. It signifies a eternal relationship to his Father. It does not have anything to do with origin but is an expression of nature. When Jesus is called the "only begotten Son" it means He is the unique one of a kind, no other is like Him, He alone has this nature and position.

 * That the Latter Rain is now taking place, the Spirit is being poured out on us now. There is a new baptism, a new Pentecost, one of fire.

For those who have begun to practice their Christianity like this, it becomes very difficult to make sense to them why it is wrong. Because they cannot understand the word in the context of truth. The new anointing (a fire baptism) they received has crippled them. They are incapable to read or hear the word in its correct interpretation. They can no longer attentive to the words of the Bible but can only hear it through certain men whom they have appointed for themselves as teachers.

As we can see with just a few examples of what been introduced into the church and why there are struggles taking place. Many are being taught how special they are in this generation, they are given better gifts. That we at the end have have more power and authority than those before us.

This whole movement of x-tra’s began by a violation of 1 Cor.4:6, Today it has gone far beyond its initial waywardness into areas that only the most obstinate and those devoid of spiritual understanding would end in..

Paul explains in Eph. 4:13-16  “till we all come to the unity of the faith and has of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;  that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,  but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ--  from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

When does the church come to the fullness of Christ? At the resurrection, when we are perfected receiving our imperishable incorruptible bodies.

We have the apostles and prophets who laid the foundation of the church in the first century. John was the last of the apostles that had seen the resurrected Christ and finished the writings for the church to be established. Every local church today have pastors/ teachers and evangelists to grow up and be mature in the faith which was establish by the apostles and prophets.

As Paul stated Gal 4:19-20  “My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,”  Paul didn’t stop there but also stated,  Col. 1:28-29 “Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

In the meantime Paul as well as others in scripture warn of being carried away with winds of doctrine by clever men  who plot, connive and throw you off balance.

All this activity not only makes it difficult for those who are Christian, it also makes so much more arduous to become a Christian in the world today and spiritually grow like one should.

To reach this end one must keep the faith, continue growing “in Christ” so that they will have an abundant entry (1 Pt.1:5-8). They must be able to resist the new prophecies and revelations these men assault the body of Christ with on the airwaves, in their books and  at their meetings. The only way to survive is to know the truth correctly be content, satisfied with it so that they are not entice to have “the more” that these false teachers are offering day in and out.

You can’t be deceived by discerning a persons teaching but you can be deceived  by not discerning by the scripture!
