To All people

Luke 2:10-11the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”

We are told by John who identifies Jesus more than any other writer.

Jn.1:10-11“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.  He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.”

How heartbreaking this must have been, his own people he trained through the word and feasts days and customs that they rejected him.

He was first announced to the shepherds in the field by angels and they were prompted by this to seek this out. Luke 2:11-12 “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

The mystery of godliness begins with the incarnation and subsequent birth.

Who came from heaven? What he did not do, nor could he do is send an angel to be the savior. He’s not an angel, nor is he a man but became a man. He didn’t come as  an angel because they do not need saving, he didn’t come as another creature who does not need saving. He came as man a creation of God to save mankind.

Jesus described himself:

Jn.7:29 " I am from him and he has sent me." At a certain point in time Christ left his habitation with the Father in heaven and became flesh on earth still enjoying that relationship.

Jn.8:42 "I proceeded forth and came from God, nor have I come of myself, but he sent me." Who came from heaven? Deity.God sent forth his son from heaven.

Gal. 4:4-5  “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law:  That he might redeem them who were under the law: that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Paul writes: "God sent his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh,  he was man, but without the sin of man.

Shepherds were not the most respected vocation then, they were looked down upon, especially by the religious. Here they are given the privilege to announce the chief shepherd ‘s arrival.

Luke 2:15 “when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”

After they had seen and heard they told others. Luke 2:18 “And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.”

They marveled, meaning they were astonished at what occurred.

The Word became flesh, God had communicated to man from the beginning now has come as a man. The one who communicated to man by speaking words  to Adam is now a man to communicate with his fellow brethren, mankind face to face. He came to communicate directly with  the most intelligent creative creatures he made on earth. He didn’t come to speak as a prophet though he was one. He did not come as a Levitical priest though he was a Melchizedic priest for all. He was king but came as a servant to save all.

Mary is the name of six women in the New Testament: it was fairly common name at the time.

Mary (Miriam in Hebrew) its root word means means rebellion.

Ironic that Her name means rebellion, she brings the savior into the world to solve mankind’s rebellion against God.

The Original woman, Eve, who was the mother of all living was deceived and passed her temptation to Adam who sinned. Eve is remembered as the one who listened to Satan, Miriam is chosen by God and the angel Gabriel calls her "highly favored one" and "blessed...among women.” She is remembered as one who obeyed God in something that had never occurred before in our history..

The world does not believe God came to earth as man, There are those who go to church that claim to be Christians that agree with the world. What good is it to call on his name if you don't know who the person of the name actually is? This is crucial because if you do not believe who the Son of God says He is, then his crucifixion cannot be applied. Which is the very reason that He became man.

As God sees the end even before the beginning it was decided that the Son would be sent from heaven to earth to fulfill a mission of the greatest importance, to take care of man’s sin (He is the “Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Rev.13:8b. God’s plan was present from the beginning of creation)

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. As we are told a savior was born and the son was sent from heaven.

Yeshua - Jesus, means God is salvation. How? By becoming man. This is what makes the gospel unique, because of the who that died for our sins.

This is the mystery of Godliness that Paul declares, this is the good news that was announced to the shepherds in the field when Christ was born.

2 Cor.4:4 the gospel is about God becoming man. There is no salvation given if you do not believe the Gospel message. If Jesus is anything but the eternal God in flesh you have not the Jesus of the Bible. YOU MUST BELIEVE on what He did for you  and who Christ is to be saved.

And this message is to all people.  A gift from the Lord of all creation, Gods gift to you.
