Rev. Sun Myung Moon's High School

Have you been approached for a free scholarship in high school education, if you accept it you may find that you are going to join Rev. Sun Myung Moon's enterprise, High School of the Pacific (HSP).

Rev. Sun Myung Moon has built a private high school in Kona.
on a 32 - acre site makai of Mamalahoa Highway, adjacent to the Kona Ocean View Properties subdivision in Pu'ukala.

Tully, President of the foundation, has been a member of the Unification Church since 1970. The proposed school would house up to 200 students from 12 independent Pacific island nations (even Micronesia Island of Chuuk) and Hawaii in a shared - living experience. They would accept kids of all faiths, cultures, ethnic backgrounds.

This is a concern seeing Moon venture into the education field. He has nearly 200 sub organizations. As of June 3, 2005 the front group list gathered by Investigative Research Specialists shows hundreds of business names of companies owned, operated, and/or controlled by the Moon organization or Moon followers. This is posted on freedomofmind.com

Moon, from Korea founded the Unification Church in 1954 and introduced the movement to the United States in the 1960s. Their doctrine is new revelation on Christ and Christianity. Moon has stated he is the "Messiah" for our day, replacing Jesus who failed. Moon believes Jesus failed in his mission in marriage so it is Rev. Moon's mission to succeed with the family so he conducts Mass weddings matching the followers in his church. The church has millions of followers worldwide, and an untold number of thousands in the United States.

If you see people have a small stand on the side of the road selling flowers throughout the day they are most likely a Moonie. If you have ever had someone knock on your door to sell trinkets or pictures for their education, they are most likely a Moonie. These are dedicated followers that raise money for their organization not for their education as they claim when they knock on your door. Once you bring up Moon's name they will often deny it until you press them. To have a School run by his followers and supported by him is not comforting thought.
