Can we Oray to a saint?

1 Timothy 2:3-5 “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus”

1 Timothy 2:5 – Scripture tells us Jesus is the ONLY mediator between God and man. Because Jesus was the God-Man, only he, the son of God can be the Mediator, the one who is between men and the Father. If one prays to a Saint (who is in heaven) asking them (who are only men) to pray to the one Mediator (Jesus) is this allowed in Scripture?

No it is not. In fact we are told not to speak to the dead. Jesus is alive, He rose from the dead.

Mere men cannot hear our prayers, know our heart, the Bible makes this clear. Neither can they answer our prayers. Why go to a middle man? The Bible does not tell us to ask of any other in heaven for anything. Jesus said to ask in His name. If we go to ask a saint then he is our mediator, not Jesus. Why not belive Jesus instead of what a church or men tell you.

We are not instructed to ask a man who will then ask Jesus, when we are admonished to go to the one mediator

Heb 4:14-16 “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Jesus waits for you to ask Him.
